Helped to fund regional recreational events for local support group members
Coordinated with Wake AHEC to host an annual BI professional training symposium
Provided BI 101 training sessions to LME staff and community case workers, and training on Mild TBI through Invisible Wounds of War training, to serve returning military troops
Provided Certified Brain Injury Specialist trainings to professionals in NC
Held 6 Walk & Roll-athons, 1 Joggin' 4 Your Noggin' 5k run, and a Ride for the Rock cycling event to raise awareness
Exhibited at conferences, health fairs, professional symposiums, and military events
Distributed 1,500-2,000 Starting Point newsletters each quarter
Coordinated a brain injury awareness day at the NC State Legislature
Educated legislators and informed survivors and family members about legislative processes and the need for more funds, and participated in a Rally to support the Coalition for DD funding
Provided complementary memberships to survivors, family members, and military
Coordinated with Pilot Clubs to provide Brain Minders safety prevention program to pre-schoolers
Helped get new legislation passed for a TBI Waiver, and to support Advisory Council
Hired a Training Coordinator to help educate professionals, family members, and others about the causes and consequences of brain injury
Helped support development of two clubhouse day programs for people with brain injuries

Promote programs providing rehabilitation and long term care for persons with brain injures
Support activities/legislation to reduce occurrence of brain injuries/fatalities and to increase the resources and funding for services, follow introduced BI legislation w/ ALSTARS
Encourage the formation of local brain injury support groups and support existing groups
Support Triad Volunteer Resource Center to become self-sustaining
Work with Pilot Clubs across NC to offer additional camp experiences for survivors/families
Coordinate with BIA of America and make use of all resources available
