Certificate for Top Fund Raiser

Sandie Worthington, in Greenville, gave a Certificate of Appreciation to Widgie Kornegay, from Rocky Mount, NC, for his outstanding efforts in fund raising. His "don't' take no for an answer approach" allowed him to raise over $10,000 from more than 300 donors in his community in 2011 and 2012.

The Pitt Memorial Hospital system changed their name to Vidant Medical Center.

BIANC recently received an $8,000 grant from the Pitt Memorial Hospital Foundation (now Vidant).

There are many Brain Injury Support Groups in our state.  One is located in Greenville and meets the second Monday of each month, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the Regional Rehabilitation Center.  This group is run by Dr. Mark White of Family Medical Therapy at East Carolina University.  We have an awesome group and offer time for lots of sharing and learning at our meetings.  Survivors, family members, friends, caregivers, and professionals who work with people who have brain injury are all welcome.  Please feel free to join us or one of the groups nearest you!

Sandie has worked as Camp Director of Camp Carefree for many years! Join us Sept. 13-15, 2013
