Advocacy Priorities
- Increase the Traumatic Brain Injury Services Fund ( North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Services Funds Legislation ) to $10 million (up from $4M) by 2027
- Grow the Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver statewide
- Introduce and pass a Cognitive Rehabilitation Bill requiring insurance carriers to cover treatment of an acquired or traumatic brain injury, to include a full range of
cognitive rehabilitation therapy
- Introduce a bill to create a North Carolina Brain Injury Trust Fund to increase services and supports for survivors, raise awareness, and improve prevention supports and activites
- Identify new Champions for brain injury community advocacy in the Legislature (House and Senate) and continue to build relationships with existing ones.
