Current NC Priorities
- Work with the Department of Health and Human Services to add Brain Injury seats to the NC State Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (NCSCFAC) and the Local Consumer and Family Advisory Committees (CFACs)
- Increase the Traumatic Brain Injury Services Fund ( North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Services Funds Legislation ) by at least $1 million
- Support the expansion of the Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver and loosening the qualification requirements
- Continue to monitor Medicaid Transformation and how it effects the Traumatic Brain Injury Community to ensure that those individuals under either Standard or Tailored Plans will continue to receive access to the benefits available from Traumatic Brain Injury Services Fund dollars
- Identify a Traumatic Brain Injury Champion for brain injury advocacy in the Legislature (House and Senate)
- Increase representation of the Brain Injury Community to update a working and effective Olmstead Plan
