A Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) designation is also available that allows professionals to conduct CBIS courses and administer the necessary exams. The CBIS and CBIST certifications are developed and administered through the Brain Injury Association of America. These designations require an applicant to pass a standardized exam, possess at least a high school education, and complete 500 hours of paid work experience with brain injury in the past 3 years.

BIANC has recorded videos and online training materials to help you with your review for the CBIS exam. Currently there is a very limited supply of: The Essential Brain Injury Guide (EBIG).  An electronic version may be available soon and a new printed EBIG will be out later this year. Please email: bianc@bianc.net or call us at 919-833-9634 to discuss how you or your colleagues can become certified.
