A Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) designation is also available that allows professionals to conduct CBIS courses and administer the necessary exams. The CBIS and CBIST certifications are developed and administered through the Brain Injury Association of America. These designations require an applicant to pass a standardized exam, possess at least a high school education, and complete 500 hours of paid work experience with brain injury in the past 3 years.

Course Overview/Materials
The $599 package includes the cost of the Certification Exam, access for 2 weeks to 9 recorded Powerpoint presentations with a Kahoots Quiz, and 2 books (Essentials of BI Guide and Study Companion) and other training materials and quizzes.

You will receive two training books and login information for access to the 9 Recorded PowerPoint Videos and a practice Kahoots Quiz. Each Virtual 4-hour Review Day class (via the Zoom platform) has 20 available slots, which are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Exams with automated proctoring can be taken any time within a year after your application is approved. Each applicant will input their application after BIANC purchases the exam and sends confirmation.
Please Note: Do not go directly to the BIAA or ACBIS website to register until BIANC has purchased your exam and given you the necessary information for you to complete your registration online.
